I had so much fun planning my own wedding, since it meant I had unlimited options to create the vision I always dreamed.
My (now) husband Jonathan and I chose to have both our ceremony and reception at the gorgeous Antique Rose Emporium, located just outside Brenham, in Independence. This venue was the prefect choice for our wedding style and vision; it was one of our preferred spots for romantic road-trip dates, so the emotional significance was truly magnified.
A beautiful engagement session was photographed by the talented Nancy from Nancy Love Photography in Houston and the chosen location was the Edith L. Moore sanctuary, where the light seems to always be perfect. The way the sunlight filters through the canopy of green, and the beautiful greenery makes for stunning photos.
*Special kuddos to our awesome groomsman/bridesman Jose, from Flordwell Creations – he arranged the cake florals, bride’s bouquet and most of the ambient decor so I could enjoy this one wedding; sadly I was not able to eat because I was sick with strep throat but it all looked absolutely perfect. Great job, Jose!!
P.S. If your heart is set on a beautiful rustic or garden wedding, The Antique Rose Emporium is the way to go. It’s breathtakingly beautiful and also requires little decorating, plus you can host both the reception and ceremony onsite.
